Privacy Policy

Whisky Live is dedicated to keeping your details private. The information we collect from you is kept secure and private. We do not pass on, sell or swap any of your personal details with anyone. We use this information to identify your orders, contact you with reminders and to issue your tickets. We will use your information to send you with information about the Whisky Live event you have booked tickets for, and advise you about new Whisky Live event details each year. We may also use your contact information to send you information from one of the whisky producers before the event.

Whisky Live may use cookies to allow the ticketing system to keep a total of your purchases from one page to the next and show them at the end, maintaining a shopping cart. Cookies sent to your computer from Whisky Live only last while your'e browsing our website.

Your credit card details are not retained by Whisky Live. They are sent to the payment provider and the Bank for processing your purchase and are not collected by this website at all. When your credit card numbers are passed to the payment provider and the bank they are encrypted (highly scrambled) so they cannot be easily read.

Security Policy

When you make a purchase from the Whisky Live website, your credit card details are taken by a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. The 128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion, trillion years to break.

Ticket Refund and Exchange Policy

Please read this carefully before purchasing from Whisky Live.

Ticket Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased. You cannot get a refund on purchased tickets.

Tickets are transferable, so you can give the ticket to a friend in the event you cannot attend.

Ticket Changes

If you make an honest error in your purchase and receive a ticket that is not for the session you thought you were purchasing, we will make an effort to change the session to a different one. This can only if tickets are available to the preferred event. Please contact us as soon as possible to make changes, preferably straight after the purchase.

Any difference in the value of the ticket will be charged or refunded to the credit card used in the original purchase.

No tickets will be accepted for a change close to the start of the event.

You may need to identify yourself adequately for us to change the ticket, typically the ticket confirmation number  and name used to purchase the ticket will need to be provided.

General Conditions for Ticket Exchange

We reserve the right to refuse a request for ticket exchange if:

  • The ticket is not in your name or purchased using a credit card approved by the owner
  • The ticket exchange is close to the event date. Check the ticket details as soon as you receive it.
  • You have multiple ticket exchange requests.
  • We suspect any suspicious circumstances surrounding the exchange request.
Lost Tickets

In the event you lose your ticket, you can print it again from the file sent to you in your email.

If you loose the ticket and loose the file sent to you in the email, you can log into the ticket system to retrieve your ticket.

If you go to the event without your pre-purchased ticket you can identify yourself using photo ID and credit card you used to book the ticket with, and we can look up your ticket purchase. If you purchased the tickets with another person's name or credit card, you will need to identify them for a replacement ticket.

Events such as fraud, unauthorised use of a credit card or other illegal activity used to obtain entry or a ticket may prevent you from being permitted to enter the event.

Information Collection

We collect your information when you enter your details to purchase a ticket.  You may receive news and updates from us about Whisky Live, special offers, and our newsletter.

We may share data with the following third parties - financial institutions, the credit card and ticketing system software and payment gateway company. If your tickets are to be delivered to you (at an additional cost) we will share your address with the courier or delivery services that are used. These third parties will use the information to facilitate payment services and to enable us to perform our services.

We may offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

If our policy on information collection or uses changes, we will update this privacy policy page.

Access to Information

Whisky Live strives to maintain the accuracy of our information. You may update any inaccuracies you may find by using the link at the bottom of any emails from us.  You may delete your information from our database or "unsubscribe" using the link at the bottom of emails also.

Problem Resolution

If a problem arises when purchasing a ticket, you may contact us by email or phone. We are committed to solving problems quickly and efficiently.

Data Storage and Security

Whisky Live protects your information with security measures that include security protocols, secure servers, firewalls, SSL encryption and other technology and procedures used to protect consumer privacy where required.

Disclaimer

We will take all care and make all effort to keep your information private, however, we will not be held legally responsible for any breach as the information may be divulged to other parties which has been obtained by methods which are beyond our reasonable control.
